Question: hi sir i am 39 years old. i suffer high BP so my doctor prescribed METOSARTAN 50 i have taken for a month and stopped now i am feeling illness and sweating shall i start once again and how long i have to take the tablet

You should definitely start again if your blood pressure is high

You should not have stopped the medicine unless your doctor had specifically asked you to. In any case, you should reinitiate the medicine after getting the blood pressure checked. You need to take it on long term basis. The blood pressure needs to be periodically monitored. Dose modification and even change of the treatment regimen may be required from time to time. It is only if the blood pressure becomes completely normal on minimal medication that consideration of stopping the medicine (by your doctor, not you) can be made.
