Question: My son took a zofran because he became nauseated. He is taking two kinds of chemo now. He vomited within 30 minutes of taking the med. can he take it again? He is still experiencing the nausea and vomiting.

Brief Answer: yes, he can Detailed Answer: Hi. Thanks for the query. Zofran is Ondansetron, a commonly used antiemetic drug in patients receiving chemotherapy. If you feel, he has vomited the tablet also it can be given again. Even otherwise, it is a very safe drug and can be given. If vomiting persists it is better to give an injection of ondansetron or metoclopramide. Another very effective drug is Apprepitant which can also be tried.
