Brief Answer:
Vitamin D deficiency needs to be treated

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Welcome back to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Vitamin D deficiency is a common situation and is responsible for different health issues. We get vitamin D from sunlight. But this needs good sun exposure between 11 am to 3 pm every day, which is not practically possible as most of us are Indoor at this time. One easy way is to take vitamin D replacement.

When your vitamin D level in blood is low, it means the storage (in liver) of vitamin D in your body is low. So our aim initially is to replenish this storage followed by giving daily allowance of vitamin D.

If I were your treating physician, the treatment I give to you initially is high dose vitamin D, available as XXXXXXX or tablets of 60,000 IU, one every week for 8 weeks followed by monthly one dose for 4 months. Then for daily allowance we have to take one sachet/tablet of high dose vitamin D every two months thereafter.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
