Vascular Bump on leg above ankle / Under Evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-Vascular Bump on leg above ankle / Under Evaluation

Mostly from Engorged Peforator Vein- caused from increased venous congestion from long Flight 4 days back.

Hi,Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and reviewed query facts in context to your health concerns of mild vascular bump/ swelling on lower leg.
My Primary Impression-
Based on facts submitted, in the given scenario, You seem to suffer from-engoged pefrorator Vein in lower leg above the ankle.
The recent USA to France travel 4 days ago, without leg Stocking is the reason behind this mild Vascular swelling above ankle.
During the flight the legs which were without stockings for the Varicose Veins you have, got congested from regurgitating venous flow, which expressed by way of the engorged Perforating Vein.
In absence of any more details,I can't assess the severity of this vascular swelling above the ankle,as this swelling could be from your Old DVT with accompanied Varicose Veins.
Update if you are on blood thinners? Since how long you have Varicose Veins?
When was the first and the last DVT attack suffered by you?
This information with updates of any medical reports on Colour doppler would help Me to suggest further course of action.

Till the time you update this information-following is the course of action suggested for you-

Do' Suggested-
In the given situation and emergency- You have 2 options-
1-You can use the Stockings while during travel back to USA.
Don't Use steroids, as its not going to help.
Rest and elevation as much as possible
Avoiding long standing work -as far as possible.
or /
2-Consults with Surgeon / or Vascular Surgeon, who would assess the severity of this vascular swelling and would treat it accordingly.
The choice is open for you and could use depending on the discomfort felt by you.

Next appointment-
In case of emergency needs/ and or after 10 days, by which time you would be with your USA doctors and would have come out with investigations, for further help in planning future treatment.

Await more specific queries , for more replies on various aspects, if need be, so as to fix this problem.
