Question: I have a question regarding my daughter, I was sitting on the couch and my 5 year old daughter was playing in her room, we heard her fall, my wife ran into check on her and she had her pants pulled down laying on the floor, she was bleeding from her vaginal area, found out she was standing on a chair trying to get something out of the top of her closet and the chair fell over and she landed with her vaginal are on the pole of the chair, it looks a little swollen, it didn't bleed very long, we were able to clean it up with a wet cloth there was quite a bit of blood but it's not bleeding anymore, she just said it's a little sore now, is this something we should go to the hospital for, or just see if it is Ok in the morning? Thanks

Brief Answer:
You can wait till morning.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The mild bleeding from the vaginal area is due to the trauma. Mild pain and swelling are common after such an injury. This is not likely to be any serious issue.
You can wait till the morning and if there is no bleeding then there is nothing to worry. Doing a cold compress will help in reducing the swelling and pain. You can also apply a local antiseptic ointment like Neosporin in the area in the morning if thee is no active bleeding.
I hope this answers your query.
