Posted on Wed, 1 Mar 2017
Question: I started yesterday with areas of red skin then bumps. They appear briefly then go away only to pop in another area. Places have been fore areas, wrist, chest between my breast, also different parts of my truck front and back. Areas about the size of quarters to as large as egg. They are very itchy gets red and inflamed warmed to the touch. I am out of town. Should I be overly concerned?
Also, I do have bumps on my skull both sides.

Brief Answer:
Urticaria.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and pictures. It looks like urticaria. This is due to allergy from some you have eaten or exposed.

Taking antihistamines like Benadryl or Cetirizine (Zyrtec) will be helpful. You can also apply hydrocortisone (cortisone 1 ) cream for local application on rashes.

If there is no improvement then you may need oral corticosteroids like methylprednisolone. In such case Methylprednisolone can be given 4 mg twice daily for 5 days. But this is a prescription drug.

Let me know if anything's not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
