Brief Answer:
BP is a continuous variable i.e. it changes every moment.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
1. BP is a continuous variable i.e. it changes every moment. It increases with increase in mental or physical stress and decreases with decrease in mental or physical stress. The upper level of 125-140 mmHg is acceptable. However, the lower value should be less than 90mmHg. Usually this much of rise is asymptomatic i.e. it does not causes any discomfort. If it is frequently above 90mmHg, then it needs some solution.
2. Before we assume that it is high, we must look at the circumstances in which BP was measured. BP should not be measured within one hour of food/ coffee/tea intake or physical exercise. It should not be measured when you are under mental stress or have some muscular or skeletal pain. For monitoring purpose it should be measured 2-3 times a week, preferably at same time of day.
3. Decreasing salt intake, meditation, regular exercise, optimization of weight and increase intake of nuts, fruits & vegetable helps in reduction of blood pressure.
4. If all these measures fail, we may consider modifying drug therapy.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
