Brief Answer:
Exercise and diet would help. Also, drugs may need to be adjusted later!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this poorly controlled diabetes. I have reviewed your information fully. These medications are all indicated in the management of diabetes. For best control of blood sugars, regular exercise of 30-45minutrs on most days of the week alongside healthy meals are very important. In addition to this, if you are overweight or obese, you would need to work towards cutting down.

Two blood glucose measures are not enough roc conclude on whether your medications need to be adjusted at this time or not. However, I will encourage you to do a test called A1C which would give us information on how well your blood sugars have been controlled for the past 3months. If the values is high(above 7), then we would review your medications to adjust the dosage or add new classes of medication.

For now, exercise, diet and strict weight control. Do an A1C test and report value to me for follow up evaluation and more insights.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
Note: For further follow-up, discuss your blood glucose reports with our diabetologist. Click here.
