Question: a week ago I fell on the basement stairs, landed hard on my bottom and slid down a few steps. I twisted my knee. But now both of my hands are tingling.....more tingling when walking or standing. Should I be concerned.

Brief Answer:
Cervical Radiculopathy is a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Cervical Radiculopathy is a possibility. You could have injured your cervical spinal disc due to the sudden action of falling. This could be mild and giving you a nerve impingement which are supplying your hands.
Do you have any discomfort or pain on neck after falling?

For this you can wear a cervical collar. Avoid normal pillows and use a orthopaedic pillow on neck while sleeping. Sleep on hard mattress. You can also take over the counter NSAIDs like ibuprofen.
If there is no improvement or worsening a consultation with orthopaedician is well appreciated.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
