Question: I had an ingrown hair on crease of my eyelid. It started to swell; the hair appeared to have fallen out, but my eye is still swollen. Is there anything I can do on my own short of seeing a doctor?

Brief Answer:
Inflammed eye lid

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the question.
Are you sure the swelling is because of the ingrown hair and nothing else?
if yes, the cause of the swelling of the eye lid is gone now, it would take a day or two for it to resolve on it own.
Till then cold / hot compresses which ever you prefer can be put for 2 minutes multiple times a day over the eye lid.
You can take Tab Ibuprofen 400mg, once a day for two days.
This should take care of the swelling.
