For all tick bites, local cleansing with soap and water is advised and antibiotic steroid cream may be applied. If the bite area develops itching, preparations containing diphenhydramine (Benadryl) are recommended. Topical application with hydrocortisone 1% or blephamide for application on bite site. Oral intake of antihistamine to reduce allergy like cetrizine or allegra or loradatine once is beneficial.
