Brief Answer:
Get xray done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Your symptoms may be due to sprain of ligaments of knee if their is no history of trauma to knee in previous days.

Your history when you was 7 years old is significant only if you, have pain since that time otherwise no need to worry.

Inspite of all this I still advise you to have xray of both knees standing AP view and xray of painfull knee skyline view, as I want to see present condition of your joint.

Till then have tab.aceclofenac 100mg+serratiopeptidase 15mg thrice a day, by prescription of your family doctor.

Avoid squatting, prolong standing, running as much as you can.

I hope you got the point.

Thanks,

In the past I've had similar pain in my left knee in the morning it was always more of a soreness then the throbbing pain it was this morning. I'm walking on it fine it, I'm able to go up and down stairs with no problems. The pain feels more random than from any one thing I do as far as walking or moving it. over the past half hour or so I've been stretching it and walking around and it's been loosening up. the pain is no longer as intense as it was when it started this morning but it's still sore with sporatic throbbing.

Brief Answer:
Visit orthopedic surgeon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your response.

In add to previously advised investigations please also get ESR, CRP to rule out hidden infection if any.

I also advise you to vivisit orthopedic surgeon for your examination of knee, he may also get aspiration from your knee for fluid examination if necessary.

You can wear knee brace if pain occurs in morning again.

Otherwise you will be ok if all investigations comes normal.
