Throat pain

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you are having pain in your throat. I do not think this is from your use of marijuana. Cannabis has not been implicated in known cancer issues. The biggest problem with daily overuse of cannabis is hyperemesis syndrome or vomiting with marijuana use. This again does not sound like hyperemesis either.

You could have GERD which is when stomach acid refluxes into the esophagus and causes pain in the throat. The best treatment is weight loss if overweight, elevated the head of the bed to allow gravity to keep acid down, do not over eat and use medication like tagamet or prilosec.

In summary
1. not marijuana related pain
2. GERD or reflux
3. Elevate head of bed
4. Loss weight if overweight
5. Do not eat late at night or over eat
6. Try Tagamet or Prilosec

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
