Suggest Treatment For The Non Itchy Anal Bump And Vagina Bump

default
Posted on Mon, 11 Aug 2014
Question: Hello, three to four months ago I noticed a bump in my anal area. This bump was painless and didn't burn or itch. It eventually disappeared on it's own after a couple of weeks. Now about month I noticed another bump on my vagina. This bump is also painless and does not burn or itch. I have been sexually active for the past couple of years with a few different casual partners. I am convinced I have a std but am not sure of which one. I think either hpv or herpes based on what I've read online. I have included pictures of the anal bump from a few months ago me a current bump on my vagina (you may need to scroll down on the pictures to see the vagina bump). Can you inform which std I have likely contracted? That you so much for the help.

Brief Answer:
Pictures and investigations required

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I am sorry to say the photographs you have attached is too hazy to make a specific diagnosis and moreover definitive diagnosis is difficult without actual examination.
Anyways after keen review of your history and pictures, I would like to rule out syphilis on primary basis. For which I will order investigations like VDRL and TPHA. Secondly (though less
likely) mycobacterium infection is a possibilty can be ruled out by Mantoux test and if possible a skin biopsy.
But I dont think it is Herpes or warts or even any sebaceous cyst.
I would insist you to post some clear pictures if possible with the results of following investigations:
1. Serum VDRL in Serial dilution
2. TPHA
3. Serum HIV Antibody test
4. Mantoux test

Hope you will revert back soon with the details asked for.
Thank you
