Question: I occasionaly . get what can be described as tension headaches .I have had no luck in consistently treating them. Caused by computer work or long distance driving-starts in shoulders and sometimes lasts until next day .Have tried heat ,ice stretching and over counter pain relief .Should I go to Doctor for muscle relaxers or is anything I can do at home?

Brief answer....re adjust yourself and see the result
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
For your eyes...
Don't see the computer regularly for more than 30 minutes at a time.Get up from the seat, walk for 5-7 minutes and try to look distant things.
If you are reading some paper or text while working on your PC,then don't keep it besides your key board. It should be propped up along side your computer screen.
Avoid overhead bright lights.
Avoid working late nights on computer.
There should be a gap of 30 minutes between shutting your computer and sleeping.
Sleep well and do take the nap for 7-8 hours.
For your shoulder...
Regular stretching and strengthening of your shoulder muscles should help you.
You can even take the help of a physiotherapist in this regard.
Get your eyes also checked up for any deficiency.
In addition get some blood work up done to look for any deficiency like...
Serum iron,serum VIT D,serum VIT B 12,serum calcium etc.
In addition get tested for thyroid function tests, blood sugar fasting and PP and lipid profile.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me or any further query.
best of luck
Thanks
