Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Adrenal Fatigue
Question: To answer Dr BR Hudda,
My original symptoms for going on Cortef was that I was sleeping all afternoon every day. I had all the typical Adrenal Fatigue symptoms.
I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid 12 years ago
I am on Cortef, DHEA, dessicated thyroid, testosterone cream, progesterone cream, progesterone pills, Prozac and occationally Ativan and Clonazapam. I also have allergies so I take Pataday and Protopic.

Hello and welcome again
Since your doctor has advised you to taper the doses of cortef, your symptoms has improved so you should taper it gradually as I advised you in my previous reply.
You can break the tablet into half, take it for a week, take half tablet on alternate day for next week, subsequently twice and once a week and than stop.
You should continue with thyroid hormone supplements as you have hypothyroidism.
Ativan and clonazepam belongs to same group of drugs so you should take any of two after consulting doctor instead of taking both simultaneously.
In my opinion you should reduce the drugs you take to minimum essential only, avoid self medication.
You should adopt healthy lifestyle to counter stress and anxiety instead of taking anti anxiety drugs.
you should do yoga and relaxation exercises.
Pursue your hobbies and enjoy life.
For allergy part, try to find out ant trigger for allergy avoid it's exposure.
