Question: I have to urinate like 30 times a day, severe pressure in my bladder, burning in my uthera when I urinate, constant feeling like I have to urinate, pain in both sides of my lower back. I am on antiboptics for a month for a uti and the only time my symptoms go away is with Tylenol and xanx. I have had ct scan with contrast and blood work, urineaylsis, sonogram and doc is doing cystopy on Monday scared to death of bladder camcer and the test. could it be cancer

What do you mean deeper in a often? Dealing with this for almost 4 weeks. Pain is in my back and pelvic area. It's constant. Don't even know how they are going to do the test with so much pressure in feeling.

Brief Answer:
Welcome back

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Test can be done under general anaesthesis if necessary.

Back and pelvic pain is more suggestive of UTI, and in case of bladder cancer it would be felt in front, around umbilicus and in lower abdominal area.

Please let me know if there's any further queries

Shouldn't a uti go away with antibiotics after 4 weeks? It was a uti but why bladder spasm? Never had that before.

Brief Answer:
Not necessarily, as it may be caused by resistant bacteria

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

UTI can be caused by resistant bacteria or even fugal infections so it may lead to more chronic infection. A serial Urine routine microscopy and culture sensitivity will clarify it further.

Also, there may be certain degree of bladder prolapse or some other benign disorder such as polyp, innervation disorders or urinary stones. Cystoscopy should give an answer...so please go ahead with it..

My Best Wishes..

I'm a mess with anxiety. Now I feel pressure in my banging. Almost the feeling of a tampon not being placed right. I feel nothing when I put my fingers in. I don't want any surgery and still the the low pressure in my pelvic bladder spasm and frequent urination. So scared I'm going to need surgery. Help.

Hi

Detailed Answer:
If there is no pathology then surgery won't be required, but you need to do tests. I still donttthink this is cancer or something serious so you should not be concerned.
