Question: Hi what is the cause of splits between the 2 last toes and the skin has turned white in between those toes also and now after having the splits for a week or so the top of the foot is swollen and red and painful

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.
Seems you have a condition known as atheletes foot which is fungal infection of the toe web.
I would suggest you to take a tablet of terbinafine 250 mg (Zimig tab) once daily for 4 weeks.
Topically you may use terbinafine 1% cream (zimig cream), twice daily for 4 weeks.
In addition i would suggest you to take a tabket of cetrizine 10mg for symotomatic relief from itching.

You may try clotrimazole 1% cream, 2x daily initially. It is otc.
