Question: My husband was only one testical , bigger than an Idaho potatoe, and very heavy. He said that he is fine. I'm scared. Is he alright?

I have only my husband's word.

Brief Answer:
Requires a few details related

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query,

I have read through your query and can certainly understand your concern,

From the description that you have provided, I would enlist a few possibilities of testicular swelling:

- Hydrocele- it is the condition where a fluid filled sac arises surrounding the testicle. It can be limited to one testicle or both.

- Varicocele- here the veins supplying the testes and scrotum may get enlarged and tortuous, appearing as a scrotal swelling

- Hernia- the inguinal hernia can have extension as scrotal swelling.

Therefore, before I could guide you any further, it would be better if you could provide me with a few related details:

* how long since he is having this symptom?
* have you noticed any discoloration, dilated veins over the swelling?
* any past history for surgery for hernia?

Kindly revert back with answers to the above questions.

Regards
