Brief Answer:
Ent consultation with interventions.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

Thanks for your query,

If I were your treating doctor, I opined that, there are several causes for tender lymph nodes at your age. some of them are common like

1. Respiratory tract infections.

2. Oropharyngeal infections - pharyngitis, gum, teeth and tonsil infections.

3.skin and soft tissue infections- tenia, impetigo.

4.Tender lymphadenitis also seen in tuberculosis , infectious brucellosis.

I suggest you to visit ent surgeon and get detailed ent examination, complete blood picture, xray chest and if necessary laryngoscopy for any lesion causing lymph node, fine needle aspiration cytology.

I advise you to take antibiotic like amoxicillin, dosage and strength will be decided by your treating doctor.

Hope I have answered your question, wishing you good health, take care.
