Brief Answer:
Avoid bearing weight on the affected limb...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I assume you have been to a doctor and got this diagnosed as category one / grade one sprain. This sprain will gradually heal in weeks. At the moment it is wise to avoid bearing weight on the affected foot. Keep the limb elevated and continue icing it intermittently. Also use crepe bandage to keep the area compressed moderately.

I would also start you on antiinflammatory pain medications ibuprofen 400mg twice a day after food for couple of days even if it doesn't hurt. You may also request a physician to prescribe muscle relaxants thiocolchicoside for added benefits.

I would also closely watch the progress of healing. At any moment if swelling worsens or if you feel instable you should visit a doctor.

Hope this helps.

Regards
