Question: I DISCOVERED THIS MORNING A PRONOUNCED BULDGE ON MY LEFT MIDDLE FINGER AT THE JOINT CLOSEST TO THE BODY OF THE HAND. I DO NOT RECALL BUMPING OR STRAINING THAT FINGER. THE BULDGE IS WARM TO THE TOUCH AND SLIGHTLY SORE. NONE OF MY OTHER JOINTS ARE SIMILARLY BULDGED.

Brief Answer:
This is probably arthritis!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I an so sorry to hear about this sore and swollen joint that you have reported. I have reviewed your information fully as well as the image. This is suggestive of arthritis. I will recommend that you take Ibuprofen for relief. Only seek further care if this fails to significantly regress within a week. Also, continue using the fingers and you may want to apply ice packs on it.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE. THE BULDGE SEEMS TO BE CLEARLY OUTSIDE OF THE JOINT. DOES THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO YOU?
