Brief Answer:
Needs further investigations to say that. Needs rest, warm packs, limb elev

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

Bursitis is inflammation and fluid collection of the protective bags around the knee joint.

This can cause pain around the knee and restricted movements.

This can be treated by anti inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen. Also if there is fluid accumulation, the fluid can be aspirated and tested to rule out common causes like Rheumatoid arthritis, Reiters arthritis, Seronegative spondarthropathy etc.

Also blood tests like Complete blood count, Rheumatoid factor, ESR, CRP are important to diagnose common conditions. The treatment can be given according to the cause.

Hot fomentation, limb elevation, avoiding much knee flexion will give relief. Avoid running, climbing stairs, squatting, kneeling.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
