Brief Answer:
stone of sublingual salivary gland.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic,

I read carefully your query and I have gone through the picture you have provided.

Considering your description and the picture ,it is very suggestive for a stone in sublingual salivary gland.
The white head you are seeing is the stone. This stone formed inside the gland and has now made its way to the opening of the duct. This can obstruct the opening of the salivary duct and can cause swelling, inflammation, pain especially after eating.
This can complicate with a bacterial infection of the salivary gland.
You don't need to worry but you should consult an ORL specialist (Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon) to get the stone removed and prevent further complications.
The procedure of removing the stone is easy and it is done under local anesthesia.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you need further help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati

Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

I don't know for sure how long it takes to get an appointment there but if the duct is not totally obstructed from the stone and there is no infection ,it is not an emergency and you can wait for the appointment.

If you start experiencing severe pain ,swelling ,fever, you should go to ER for treatment.

Take care,
Dr.Rovena
