Question: Hi I have constant stomach aches and pains. I get a well balanced diet and take necessary laxatives when i'm constipated but the pain and throbbing in my stomach is consistent. I also have bloating and gas. I have tested positive for h-pylori and got treated last year. This year I TESTED NEGATIVE..... and the pain is not going away.

3. I do not have heartburn too often but occasionally I do experience heartburn.

Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to Acid peptic disease

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXX

The cause of pain is likely to be due to
1 Acid Peptic disease
2. Underlying constipation

Constipation is likely to be due to

1. Decreased consumption of water
2. Less intake of fiber in diet

I would suggest you the following

1. Acid Suppressant like Pantoprozole will be helpful

2. For breakthrough pain you can take liquid antacid

3. Regular intake of meals in small quantities more frequently

4. Avoid spicy food

5. Avoid alcohol / carbonated / caffeinated beverage

6. Ensure good intake of water : 2 to 3 liter a day

7. High fiber diet : 2 servings of vegetable salad and 2 servings of fruits especially citrus fruit will ensure adequate intake of fiber

8. Laxatives like Lactulose will be helpful

9. Exercise and walking will help relieve stress and associated anxiety

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you a very happy New year

Take care
