Suggest Treatment For Spot On Groin Area
Question: Hello
I have a spot on my groin area and a number of spots on my arms which I want to check if you know what they are.
I also sometimes have blurry vision and recently I had to urinate a lot more often.
I am schedule for a UTI test and to see a dermatologist in January is the nearest possible appointment. In the mean time I did STD tests and all were negative. However I did not have these spots when I visited the clinic.
I had a massage in January 2014 but not sex. Hence Herpes or Warts are the only STD I could have got from touching rather than sex.
Do you believe these symptoms and spots can be herpes. I read online that herpes can also appear on arms. That is why now I am worried to suddenly have spots on my arms as well as my groin.
I attach pics.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Not due to STD.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM
Thanks for posting your query.
The pictures clarity was not so good. Do you have any itching over these lesions?
But I can assure a thing that these spots are neither Herpetic or viral warty lesions.
Possibility of insect bite allergy came to my mind. A direct and close inspection and a with good history it can be confirmed or rule out. Kindly consult a Dermatologist and they are unlikely to be due to any STDs.

Hello Dr.
Thank you for your answer.
I have taken some clearer photos. Attached.
Today I have another one on my opposite groin. Also some extra spots on my arm.
Other symptoms include:
- blurry vision
- urinating often
- high temperature
- some ithching around my bottom / ass
Is there anything which can connect all these symptoms?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Could be a viral fever, not related to STD
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
It is possible to have all these symptoms together along with the skin rash.
But these could unlikely be due to STD. Some viral fever with exanthem (you could have acquired even at massage parlor) can be thought of. Even before your appointment with the dermatologist, you can go to a available doctor nearby and get some symptomatic treatment for fever and itching. Get well soon.
