Brief Answer: yes, better to go to your doctor Detailed Answer: Hello, I am sorry about your loss. Although, your blood pressure is not alarming at 165/82, it would be wise to see your doctor now. This I say, in view of your age of 76, the stress that you are going through, and also the existence of diabetes. A routine general physical examination along with recording of your vitals including the blood pressure would be necessary now. You could fix an appointment for the same with your doctor. Take care!
