Question: I believe my 4th toe is broken. It happen christmas eve but is still very sore and stays red. All the brushing is mostly gone

I am so sorry to hear about what happened. Please, consider getting an xray as this is the best way to tell whether there is a fracture or not. Fractures are managed differently from soft tissue injuries. If the pain is severe when the toed is mobilized, the a fracture may really be of concern here.

For now, continue pain medications, avoid mobilizing the leg and apply cold packs for relief. Then get an xray for definitive answer.
