Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Neck Pain And Earache
Question: Hi
I have sore throat neck pain and earache for like 3 weeks and i feel there is something stuck in my throat left side specially when i swallow also my tongue hurts back leftside i went to a dentist and he said i have tmj he removed upper left wisdom teeth and took antibiotic and i went to ENT DR he checked my ears and insert a scope inside my nose and did ultrasound to my neck said nothing wrong with me also wrote me a course of antibiotic and when i took the 2 courses of antibiotic i felt better but after i stop the syptoms comeback gradually acutlly i am afraid plz help

I have read your query , reviewed medications and understand your concern.
After reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having allergic post nasal discharge back in throat more on left side . It result into sore throat , neck & ear pain .
If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice you
Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily ,
Plenty of fluids ,
Saline nasal spray or rinse thrice daily ,
Tab paracetamol for pain &
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination tablet at night .You need to continue this tablet till allergy subside .
If you also have acid reflux , add antacid tablet like Tab Esomeprazole in morning .Use complete treatment plan to get early relief.
You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription .
No need to worry , you will get relief . I see many patients with similar complain getting relief with above treatment plan .

Thanks .. But why i feel reliefed when i take antibiotics and i,m so scared that i have oral cancer ocuz i read in the internet it has the same symptoms

Once you stop antibiotic , secretion get increase after some days & secondary bacterial infection built up .
No need to worry about cancer & internet diagnosis , you have already done ENT examination , endoscopy & ultrasound neck .
It is already rule out .Nothing to worry .
Take complete treatment plan , you will get relief .

The ENT DR checked me with endoscopy in my nose only .. Sorry i dont know when he checked my nose can he see the throat also?
