Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat After Taking Cifran
Question: Hi , I am taking Cifran for 28 days because after a recent prostate check up my levels were high, I also now suffering with a very sore throat, will this
Brief Answer:
no it is not likely to work!
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Since you have been taking cifran for 28 days already and you have developed a sore throat , then it is unlikely that you will benefit from cifran as it is likely that the organism causing your sore throat is resistant to cifran.
I would like you to meet your ent doctor , who will take a throat swab and send it for culture , once the organism causing your sore throat is known and its sensitivity pattern determined , you can be started on appropriate antibiotics.
Meanwhile , please continue with salt water gargles and lemon - honey , they will give good relief.
Please avoid oily and spicy food as they may aggravate your throat complaints.
Take care!
