Brief Answer:
It is a upper respiratory infection like pharyngitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

All this symptoms could be because of upper respiratory infection (pharyngitis or laryngitis epiglotitis or tonsillitis).

It is mostly due to viral infection (EB virus, adenovirus) or could be because of bacterial infection some times(streptococcal pharyngitis).

As per your medical history, you had taken treatment for flu and bronchitis and relieved the symptoms before 2 weeks but this time it could be another infection.

Swollen glands of throat is could be inflammation of lymph nodes and tonsils as it is also a kind of lymph tissue.

You may require routine blood count with ESR and clinical examination by ENT specialist for mainly pharyngoscopy.

You will have to take antibiotics (quinolones or macrolides) to prevent super infection along with analgesics, antiinflammatory and antihistamines like cetrizine.

You must avoid cold water drinking, take chlorhexidine mouth wash for gargles and do steam inhalation 3 or 4 times a day to get rid off this infection.

Other supportive treatment like vitamin B complex with folic acid may also be taken.

Consult ENT specialist for further advice.
