Brief Answer:
The drug is right drug for her symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern about your wife. She had developed her symptoms due to persistent anger outbursts by your son. He wants to quit job and this has aggravated her symptoms. Her symptoms like sleepiness, breaking down, poor appetite, lack of interest in anything, negative talks etc could denote some underlying depression. Adjustment disorder is other possibility. In both conditions individuals may show such symptoms.

She had been prescribed Placida Plus and the drug consists of Escitalopram and Etizolam. Escitalopram is a SSRI drug and good antidepressant drug. The drug will help to lift her mood and she will feel better. Etizolam is a benzodiazepine drug and is safe to use. The drug will help to reduce her symptoms of anxiety and negative feelings.

Over if we consider efficacy of drug it is a right drug considering her symptoms. It would be safe for her to take that drug. No significant serious side effects are there.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Please ask again for more doubts in follow up question.
