Question: Hello my name is XXXXXXX and I have been a iv user for 3 years. I have several health issues one being the fact that I had a bad reaction to PAXIL which i notified my doctor she told me to keep taking them and 2 days later I jumped from and bridge falling 72+ feet. Previous to this I had been completely sober for 3 years and never wanted to use but do to my pain and the fact that all the doctors said I would have to be on pain medication for the rest of my life. Since i was red flagged years ago I was unable to find a pain doctor. Eventually pain meds became to expensive on the street so i started using heroin this is after several attempts of going through detox rehab and the pain was just so intense. Most of my veins have collapsed and are no longer usable. so I had my friends shot me up in the neck. It didnt hurt while he was doing it so i thought he had it in right. That night i started to get a knot in my neck. I also got other strange marks that have appeared where I do not shoot at(my knee) it is red hot to touch and in a lot of pain. My neck has not decreased at all and now its getting bigger and seems to be moving down the side of my neck. I have been sick to my stomach, have hot and cold chills, headaches, irritated and nothing seems to be helping. Every one keeps telling me to go to the ER but all the ERs in my area treat me like crap. I dont think they are wrong but I dont abuse the hospital or doctors either. I do not even know if this would be necessary to go to the ER to be put down by the staff. I am wanting to know is there anything i could do at home on my neck, The other ones I always popped myself or used other methods but with this being my neck and also having other symptoms with this as well. If you could answer me ASAP I would APPRECIATE IT GREATLY. PLUS MY VISION IS STARTING TO GET BLURRY! PLEASE HELP!

Brief Answer:
you must go to emergency

Detailed Answer:
Hello and I am very sorry that you are having these problems.
It is true that people with a history of drug abuse are often treated badly by healthcare professionals. However, this is their problem and not yours. You are a human being and deserve to be treated with kindness and caring. I know that it is hard but you must go to Emergency. you could have an infection that is making its way from your neck to your brain.
This is very serious. Please do not try to treat this at home.
Just go to Emergency and demand to be treated with caring and kindness. If you are treated badly, call them on it. Just say "I am a human being and I am sick. Please treat me with the kindness and caring that is part of your job."
I wish you the best.
