Brief Answer:
Irritant reaction to 5 flurouracil

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
Your husband might have developed an irritant reaction to 5 flurouracil.
I would recommend you to stop using it.
In case of severe irritation he can apply cortisone cream on the affected areas.
In case the irritation still persists I would recommend you to consult a dermatologist.

Brief Answer:
Start oral antivirals

Detailed Answer:
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend your husband to take oral antivirals like tablet valciclovir 1 gram thrice daily for 7 days along with calamine lotion on the affected areas twice daily.
For pain I would recommend him to take tablet tramadol 50 mg twice daily for 7 days.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Also consult an ophthalmologist and get his eye examination done.
Wish you good luck.
