Suggest Treatment For Shooting Pain On Head And Eyes
Question: I have been experiencing shooting pains accross the right side of my head roughly from the right eye accross the right top of my head down to the right rear. This happens a couple of times a day and lasts for 5-10 seconds These events seem to be most prevalent in the morning that any other time of day. This began in August. I use to have this happen in my teens and early twenties but now I am 73. I have also found that I have developed sneezing fits and runny nose starting in XXXXXXX ..allergies developing in my old age... I have heard of such things. Could these be connected ? I will be seeeing my doc for a physical in late October.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that there is a high probabablity that you could be having Temporal arteritis , it present like this only . You should get your routine blood tests like CBC along with ESR as ESR and clinical features are diagnostic for this .
If its the case you should seek medical help at earliest . Your allergic tendencies may be unrelated to this . But its very important to start the treatment early . Do you experience frequent headaches also or jaw pain while eating . Any other features just let me know.

In answer to your question, no. I seldom, if ever, have any kind of headaches nor do I ever experience jaw pain. Is this related to temporal arteritis ?
