Question: It's a bit embarrassing but it still is part of me. Over the last five years I have gained almost 50 lbs. Most of it due to habitual eating some from meds. I digress the foods of fat on my abdomen get smelly really fast . I wash everyday and have tried different powders. Any advice to help. It is going to get worse as I lose weightl

Brief Answer:
Use of clotrimazole powder should help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I am sorry to know that you have gained a good amount of weight over the last five years. For this to have occurred, the intake of energy as food has surely been more than the amount of energy you were spending. You need to take it seriously. The solution is simple. Cut down on the food intake and increase the amount of workout. I understand that it is easier said than done but you need to do this for your health's sake.

Getting smelly is due to fungal degradation of the sweat that you get. Even though you wash yourself properly, the sweating continues and the fungi do their work. In such a case, using clotrimazole powder (available in brands like Abzorb, Candid etc.) on regular basis should help. It will keep you dry on one hand and will keep the fungus away on the other.

Hope that helps.
