Suggest Treatment For Severe Upper Abdominal Pain

Question: I have and they had to clean out by bile ducts right upper abdomen pain, I have had Several ERCP and Endoscopyand they had to clean out sludge and stones from my bile duct. Now they won't do another one on look for a better way to help me. But I have to wait 8 weeks in severe pain . My doctor gave me Lyrica.

ERCP is complex procedure and it carries some risks so it should of be used without clear indication. I am surprised that you went through several ERCPs since in case of repeated symptoms,surgery is better option. If there are residual stones,then it would be better to do MRI which is noninvasive,and then plan surgery if stones are found. ERCP if done in short period may lead to cholangitis and other serious complications. Wish you good health. Regards
