Question: 86 year old mother awoke with pain in her right leg from hip to lower calf. No known circulatory problems. No history of heart. Has rheumatoid arthritis in hands - remissive.
Took to Tylenol AND two Alleve.
How to relieve this pain?

These drugs should help. I will suggest that you monitor this pain and only seek further care if this fails to be relieved by tylenol and Alleve. These pains are often transient and in most cases not caused by a specific disease condition. If the pains has not regressed, please, report its severity as well.
