Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Rib-cage Area

Question: At times, severe pain starting in either left side right under lower ribcage or sometimes in middle lower back on left side..sometimes mild but sometimes severe to point I'm on floor..went to e.r. and definitely not heart issue..no rhyme or reason to it..at times mild pail and goes away but sometimes severe and lasts for several hours..
