Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Lower Back Area

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Jun 2016
Question: I have a severe pain in my lower back when I woke up yesterday (Sat) morning. Its difficult for me to move from one position to another.
I have no history of back pain or injuries. Nor did I lifted any heavy weight recently.
It has reduced slightly this morning, but I had lot of trouble during the night time.

What should I do? Will it take some time to get fix automatically or should I go and see a doctor?

Brief Answer:
Muscle spasm, investigations advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!
Thanks for posting your query in hcm.
I have gone through your query and I think that most probably you are suffering from a muscle spasm.
You may go for hot water fomentation 3-4 times a day.
Apply a diclofenac gel like VOVERAN on the lower back thrice a day.
Also you may take a combination of Aceclofenac and Paracetamol tablet to reduce the pain. This maybe taken thrice a day after food.
Give your back rest for a day and sleep on a hard, even mattress.
You should be fine soon.
If you have any further doubts/ queries, you may get back to me.
Regards,
Dr. Sonia
