Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Due To Spinal Stenosis

Question: I was raped in 2000 and 3 of my lower disc's were impacted. The first one finally ruptured in '09, and then I found out I have spinal stenosis. I lost use of my legs and bladder, and went through my second surgery this past April. The surgeon said I need yet another surgery because now 3 discs in lower back have collapsed, but he said it would be a very difficult and long recovery. However, he also said if I could get help with pain management I can quite possibly put this surgery off for awhile.

Problem is, and my own Dr. is very upset, is that in WI the Tomah, WI VA has created many problems because they were found to be overprescribing narcotics to the point that it has now impacted all our healthcare systems. I have how have to jump though all these hoops for my own Dr. to get the ok which he still hasn't gotten. He knows what I'm going through, but his hands are tied.

He told me because of this this is becoming a WI statewide problem and those of us with chronic pain problems are being pushed to the side with no help. I've had thoughts I shouldn't be having because I just cannot take the pain in my lower back, and now after doing so well at first after the 2nd surgery in April and then suddenly my lower back went crazy and now the front of my legs are once again killing me.

I'm not asking for oxy anything, or Vicodin, I want methadone help. Saboxen isn't feasible because I also have PTSD, and agoraphobia panic disorder and cannot go without anti anxiety drugs. I have no car to go to outpatient treatments, and inpatient I cannot do again.

I really just need help getting this medicine so I can somewhat live my life again. Any suggestions &/or can you help me?

Brief Answer:
methadone clinic

Detailed Answer:
hello and I am sorry you have had all of this trouble.
As you are probably aware we are not able to prescribe medications on this site. I doubt that any online site would be able to give you pain medication prescriptions. It is quite a problem with the issues around prescribing pain medications these days due to the unfortunate abuse by some people.
It makes it very difficult for people with chronic pain like yourself. It is probably your best option at this point to find a methadone clinic that will prescribe the medication for you. Methadone is a good pain reliever but it is somewhat dangerous to use so you want to go to a clinic where the doctor is skilled in the use of this drug. That will probably be in a methadone specific clinic.
I hope you get some relief soon,
Dr. Robinson
