Brief Answer:
Pain will subside after 3-4 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After the stitches, the area remains painful for next 3-4 days. Walking further puts stress on the stitches thus causing the pain. It is best to take rest and have a mild pain killer and proper antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor. The pain will gradually subside in next few days. Do watch out for excessive swelling, bleeding, discharge or fever. In such a case do consult your physician.
I hope this answers your query.
