Question: I'm in the Marine Corps, during martial arts training we were doing throwing maneuvers. when I went to toss another Marine in a pec fly type of motion we fell on the ground and all his body weight landed on my mid bicep, still being in the pec fly motion. I immediately felt a pop in my front deltoid area/arm pit/upper chest. It was agonizing pain. the next day I had a bruise in my upper bicep towards the armpit. my upper outer pec, arm pit, and front delt was still very painful to touch and sitting still. I went to medical and diagnosed a partial bicep tear. it's been two weeks and I still have pain and tightness in my a outer pec, armpit, and front delt. I tried to bench press just the bar and I couldn't even do that. I compared my pecs and noticed from the injured one that from my pec going towards my armpit is like a divot and not solid at all like my other pec.

I have gone through your history and pics but before giving my opinion about it, I want to ask a few questions from you.
When you had this injury?
Have you done your MRI?
Have you apply ice on it and give rest to that part?
Are you taking any medication?
Have you consulted physiotherapist?
Please revert back to me with my answers,so I would be able to guide you properly.

Brief Answer:
Start physiotherapy and exercise.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
MRI is important to rule other injury and to see details about injury.
But no issue if your doctor think that it is not required.
As of now it is two weeks start physiotheray and exercise like light curls with dumbles, supination and probation and now apply heat to increase blood supply to that area.
Exercise is important to regain strength.
Pressing exercise is also very helpful to make triceps, chest and shoulder muscles strong.
After 8 weeks you can return to normal exercise.
Hope it is useful.
Good luck.
Regards
