Brief Answer:
Migraines can be prevented by taking metoprolol regularly

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the details provided. I clearly understand that the pain of migranes can be debilitating. Nubain or (nalbuphine hydrochloride) is a synthetic opioid agonist-antagonist analgesic that might help in reducing the pain in such a case. But in there are some simple medicines like beta blocker called metoprolol which taken on daily basis, can prevent migraines from occurring in the first place. So, it might be useful to talk to your doctor about such a prophylaxis. In such a case you would not look like a drug seeker anymore.

Certain other analgesics like naproxen 500 mg tablet can be helpful in treating migraine once it occurs. One or two tablets can be taken together as required.

Hope that helps.
