Suggest Treatment For Severe Migraine While On Methylphenidate

Question: My has been on Methylphenid 10mg tab for over a year now. We took her to see our family Dr. because she stated she had a bad headache and showed signs of a migrain, me and my wife both have them, the Dr. did a check on her CO2 and it came up high. A week later she ran the same test and the Co2 stats where higher. There are no gas appliances in our apartment. I do smoke but, out side and not even in the car weather the kids are in there are not. Could the Medication be causing her Co2 stats to be high?

Methylphenid contains methylphenidate, which may cause and headache and respiratory depression that can lead to high Co2 level.

In my opinion you should ask her doctor to change from methylphenidate to modafinil in smaller doses.

Headache she is having might be related to side effects of methylphenidate so it's better to change the drug or reduce its dose instead of treating headache.
