Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain Post Injury

default
Posted on Fri, 16 Oct 2015
Question: Since last 2 months I fell from a bike and got my left knee injured. No freacture was seen in x-ray, however , i have severe pain in the left side of the left knee, at a specific posture and position of leg.
Doctor recommended me Tendocare, but no siginificant relief. Please advise, if a MRI and surgery is really required for the miniscus or I should continue with the same Tendocare for some more time.

If surgery is required, how safe it will be and in how much time I will be able to walk without pain.

Brief Answer:
You should get MRI of the knee

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you should get MRI of the knee joint. This will tell us if there is any meniscus or ligament injury. If there is such injuries then you may need surgery depending on extent of the lesion.
If you will need any meniscus surgery then it is done by arthroscope, so there is very small incision and only one or two stitches. You can go home on same day and also walk on same or next day.
If you want then share MRI with me. I can tell you if you will need any surgery or not.
thanks
