Suggest Treatment For Severe Joints Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Oct 2015
Question: ihave severe joint pain in my subtalor joint of my left foot. the doctor says he is amazed that I am not on disability because of it. I am a construction worker and my pain gets so bad that I have crutches next to my bed for evenings and early mornings to get around. often I cant get out of bed until my pain meds have started working. I have tried all sorts of nsaids without much relief and actually causing upset stomachs. I have been on Norco for about a year and asked to be switched off it and have been on tramadol for 6 months now, both worked great for pain but now my dr. has told me to find someone else as he is no longer going to prescribe me medicine and I have now been out of work for 3 weeks cause the pain is too much without relief. I have spent thousands on different oils, creams, vitamins and with no success. ihave bills to pay and with being cut off of the meds that work I don't know what to do. I have also had the cortisone joint shots

Brief Answer:
Please provide more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I share your concern
Joint pain and stiffness might be related to inflammatory disease of the joints like arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis or connective tissue disease

Here I would like further information for better assessment of the condition
Have you developed any joint deformity?
Have ordered any investigation, if yes upload me the reports.

I would advise you for a battery of tests like CBC, RA Factor, Anti CCP anti bodies test, serum Uric acid, ESR and X ray of affected joint

You may require DMARD group of drugs like methotrexate under medical supervision

Please write back to me with these details so that I will be able to tell you more precisely
Best wishes
