Suggest Treatment For Severe Joint Pain While On Prezcobix

Question: I have some new medications i am taking and the last few days my joints in the bottom half of my body hurt mainly confined to my left leg and its hard just to walk. my new meds are prezcobix 800 Lamivudine-zidovudine

any thoughts?

Dear Jwbryan,

Welcome to HCM.

The problem you have mentioned is not related to any drug side effect because neither zidovidine nor lamividine is causing such problem so be relaxed.

It is mostly due to some other joint patholgy so you can consult orthopedic surgeon to isolate it cause and follow the treatment regime. Don't get worried as the side effect is occuring in only few patients.
