Suggest Treatment For Severe Infection On Penis Foreskin

default
Posted on Tue, 25 Aug 2015
Question: Hello Doctor, I have severe infection on my penis foreskin. This slowly started happening after I had unprotected Anal Sex with my gf. We tried this for the first time, she doesn't have any infection and this is her first relationship. Is this due to bacterial infection? foreskin keeps getting scars and fungus kind of discharge keeps coming. I have tried antibiotics, antifungal tablets or cream! Nothing solves the problem, now I'm in a condition where I'm unable to pull the foreskin down. It's been there for almost 1.5 month's. It's extremely painful and I'm shy enough to visit a doctor. Not sure which doctor to show? I'm based in
XXXXXXX One thing I observed is if I use coconut oil it will reduce the pain and clears it for sometime, however it comes back later Please guide me what needs to be done here.

Brief Answer:
You need to get Circumcised .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed severe infection of Foreskin (Posthatitis) due to unprotected anal sex which got complicated into Phimosis.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1) Have you taken medications after consulting a Dr or of your own?

You need to do swab test and culture of a discharge from penis to trace out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to so that you can take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report.

Consult qualified Dermatologist for clinical examination and get the test done under his guidance .

In the mean while take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Further treatment will depend upon the result of the test .

If problem persists after taking medicines for 2 weeks you may need to get circumcised .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Dr XXXXXXX Yes, you have answered my query. 1. I took the medication by my own searching online, I haven't consulted any doctor. I shall follow the medication you have suggested. Yes, if it doesn't recover shall get circumcised after consulting dermatologist.

Recently I had severe throat pain, I took a course of azithral 500 mg then again inflammation increased not sure if this is related. I was shy to consult any doctor about this. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. I should have been more careful. This online assistance helps most like me.

Now it's almost impossible for me to move my penis foreskin, till last it used to easily slide down.
