Question: Hi Doctor,

im lossing hair due to staying air conditioner room. I realised this very recently, when i am on leave my hairfall controlled and hair growth is so good as it used to be previously. Once joined back to work with very minimal work my hair started to fall again and became weak at roots. I need remedy to protect my hair from AC. Please suggest a shampoo or a conditioner leave on that will help my hair to gain previous strenght and thickness

Air conditioning sucks out the moisture from the air and makes your hair dry. Although it may appear that your hairfall has increased, in reality, the number of hair falling is just the same. Let me mention that it is normal for about 100 strands of hair to fall daily in course of the normal turnover. You need not grow concerned.

Regarding the dryness that makes the hair appear to fall more, my suggestions would be:
* Drink plenty of water.
* Put a bowl of water open in the room while the AC is on. This will prevent the dryness.
* Apply wet towel or moisturizing hair gel.
